Using the Asset Store, assets can be uploaded by users directly to the system via their Web Browser, from anywhere in the world. A “submit asset for approval” section is made available to appropriately authorised users. The asset tracking and report generation functions allow key users to establish how often and by whom an asset has been used, helping to inform accounting processes and justify marketing investment.

At the same time, the assets themselves can be located quickly using the advanced search functions, since the metadata (e.g. title, reference, description, keywords, copyright, asset duration, automatic archiving date etc.) for each asset is held on the system and catalogued. The ability to create asset categories and hierarchies facilitates effective asset search.

All assets are owned by individuals and marketing teams, which have a version control and managed withdrawal dates in place (RAG* system).

User groups can also be defined, as to segment asset access.
